  • Heilongjiang High Court + "News Night Flight"! The Story Behind the Successful Enforcement of Harbin Development Zone's Largest "Unfinished Building" Case!

From 2019 to 2021, our firm (Highking Law Firm) was entrusted by Heilongjiang Jianguo Hotel to handle the disposal of the Heilongjiang Huafeng International Mall project – Harbin's largest "unfinished building." This project involved 45 separate cases, including various lawsuits, enforcement objections and reconsiderations, non-enforcement applications, and bankruptcy petitions. Although the Heilongjiang High People's Court had accepted the case for enforcement as early as 2007, the complexity of the numerous related lawsuits and intricate legal relationships prevented any breakthrough progress for twelve years prior to our firm's involvement.

After taking on the case in 2019, Highking Law Firm pursued enforcement through supervision by the National People's Congress and the Supreme People's Court. While securing a favorable judgment in the pivotal case, we meticulously analyzed the numerous interconnected cases and revised the comprehensive enforcement strategy. Within less than two years, we successfully concluded the enforcement and disposal of this non-performing asset case concerning the largest local unfinished building.

This achievement was reported by numerous media outlets, including the Heilongjiang Branch of Xinhua News Agency, Guangming Daily, China News Service, CCTV.com, and Heilongjiang Television.

  • 40 Years of Chinese Law Firms: Highking – Pursuing Ultimate Professionalism

September brings Beijing into its most beautiful season. In 2020, Highking Law Firm, honored as one of the "National Outstanding Law Firms" by the Ministry of Justice, made the prestigious list. We came to explore its distinctive character.

Located on the third floor of Building 12, adjacent to the Central Garden of Wanda Plaza in Beijing's Central Business District (CBD), Highking is visible from afar through its bright glass doors. Down a white corridor, the silver Highking logo gleams. One side of the corridor features Waiting for the Ferry on the Autumn River, a masterpiece by the distinguished Ming Dynasty painter Qiu Ying, renowned for its vast, open landscape that creates a sense of immense space within a confined area. The opposite wall displays a magnificent six-meter-long scroll of Wen Zhengming's Ode to the Red Cliff (Latter Ode). The corridor branches left and forward, leading to two large office areas. In the reception and lounge area by the front desk, a massive marine aquarium wall adorns the side. Swaying corals and fish swimming freely exude vibrant vitality, subtly embodying the spirit of a "Joyous Highking." The firm's principals seem to possess a unique sentimen.
